Motto
"Empowering Women, Transforming Lives"
Our History
Founded by Sophia Gethers, a long-time mental-health advocate and respected community leader, the organization was created to confront the distinctive mental-health needs of women in Fayetteville, GA. Drawing on Sophia’s experience in grassroots outreach and culturally informed care, the organization focuses on reducing stigma, improving access to trauma-informed and culturally competent services, and building peer networks for African American women who face intersecting barriers from economic stress and caregiving burdens to under-recognition of perinatal and intergenerational trauma. Through community workshops, support groups, referral partnerships, and public-education campaigns, it aims to create safe spaces where women can heal, connect, and gain practical tools to thrive.
